Dies ist das erste internationale Pirts Camp, das Ilga Gavare in Latvia organisiert und leitet! In fünf Tagen werdet ihr mit allen Sinnen die Basics der Pirts (traditionelle lettische Sauna) erleben. Ihr beginnt mit einem Feuer Ritual und verbindet euch mit den Elementen. In einer Gruppen Pirts könnt ihr euch mit dem Pirts Spirit verbinden, bevor ihr in das theoretische und praktische Wissen eintaucht. Ilga wird mit euch Zweige sammeln und Pirts Wedel herstellen, sie wird über die Bedeutung der Bäume und Pflanzen sprechen. Ihr übet mit den Pirts Wedeln und dem Dampf in der Pirts zu arbeiten. Und zwischendurch werden ihr euch im Schwimmteich abkühlen…

This is the first international Pirts Camp organized and led by Ilga Gavare in Latvia! Over five days, you will experience the basics of Pirts (traditional Latvian sauna) with all your senses. You will begin with a fire ritual and connect with the elements. In a group Pirts, you can connect with the Pirts spirit before diving into theoretical and practical knowledge. Ilga will gather branches with you and make whisks, and she will talk about the significance of trees and plants. You will practice working with the whisks and the steam in the Pirts. And in between, you will cool off in the swimming pond…
