June 12-14, 2026 Workshop for women with Ieva Ančevska in Dortmund: Connect with your female roots and ancestors!
This workshop with Ieva Ančevska focuses on your ancestral and soul stories. Ieva will guide you through meditations and exercises that will help you connect with your ancestors. Through the group field in the seminar, you can get to know your female roots and connect with Mother Earth. The seminar work includes nature meditations, ancestral meditations, and therapeutic processes. This allows you to connect your body, mind, and soul, enabling a deep transformation.
Dr. phil Ieva Ančevska is a social anthropologist who wrote her dissertation on traditional Latvian medicine and has authored two books on Latvian healing traditions in the context of ancient European medicine. She writes specialist articles on Latvian healing traditions, gives seminars at home and abroad (including at the Storl Academy) and organizes study trips through Latvia. Ieva is a pirts master, systemic consultant and trauma therapist.
The workshop takes place in Dortmund and costs 280 €. Early bird registration until 1. March 240 €.

Contribution: 180 € per person
The 1:1 pirts ritual lasts 1.5 hours. It consists of 2-3 sessions in the pirts (sauna), each with a brief immersion in cold water followed by a rest period.

After a short introduction, the ceremony begins with a shared pirts ritual (approximately 1 hour).
The 3-hour Amanita ceremony will then take place inside our house with a moderate dose of Amanita tea. Ilga Gavare and Andrea Lötscher will hold the space and will foster a peaceful and quiet experience. In the evening, we will conclude the ceremony with dinner and a closing session.
Those who wish to spend the night can sleep in the common room on their own yoga or sleeping mat.

Weekend Workshop: Pirts Basics in Dortmund
August 29 – 30 2026, 11 – 19 h
On Saturday, Ilga Gavare will show us how to make our own Pirts tassels, what’s important in the process, and how to use them. We’ll also make our own body scrubs with salt and herbs. The workshop will conclude with a Pirts ritual, where we’ll try out our handcrafted sauna whisks and body scrubs. On Sunday, we can continue practicing with the Pirts tassels.
This workshop offers a practical way to learn the basics of Pirts, so you can use them for yourself and your family. The knowledge gained in this workshop is for personal use and not for professional applications.
Contribution: €280 per person
The price includes the workshop and group Pirts practice. Bread and soup will be provided at lunchtime, and water and tea will be available for everyone. Accommodation is not included and must be arranged independently.

Ilga Gavare, biologist
works as a Pirts master and leads Amanita ceremonies in Latvia, Scandinavia, and Germany.
She teaches at her own pirts school and organizes and leads pirts camps and women’s retreats in Latvia.
Ilga is married and the mother of three adult children.
